Yesterday, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Osun State, led by our Chairman, Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, paid an official visit to the INEC Osun State Headquarters alongside leaders of various Voluntary Youth Organizations across the state.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen our partnership with the Commission and to further encourage youth participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
We commend the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) and the entire INEC team for their openness, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring mass voter registration. Their commitment has made it easier for young people across Osun State to register and be part of the democratic process.

As a gesture of appreciation, the Council presented a Symbol of Honour to the REC in recognition of his integrity, administrative excellence, and support for youth-centered initiatives.
In his remarks, the REC appreciated the Council for the visit, commended our Chairman for his leadership and sustained efforts in mobilizing youths for the CVR exercise, and encouraged the NYCN to intensify awareness campaigns across all communities.

The meeting was highly productive, and INEC expressed readiness to continue working closely with the NYCN on civic education, voter sensitization, and broader youth engagement.

NYCN Osun State looks forward to more meaningful collaborations as we continue to champion the voice and participation of young people in nation-building.
