NYCN OSUN CELEBRATES GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE ON HIS 3RD ANNIVERSARY, COMMENDS HIS EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP, INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND YOUTH INCLUSION

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, has joined countless well-wishers across the state and beyond to congratulate the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, as he marks his third year in office. The Council described the Governor’s tenure as one defined by purposeful leadership, steady progress, and a genuine commitment to the welfare and advancement of the people.

In a statement released today at the council secretariat by the Chairman, Comrade Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, the NYCN commended Governor Adeleke for surpassing expectations through a leadership style that blends humility, innovation, compassion, and accountability. The Council noted that the Governor’s administration has continued to champion development across key sectors, especially in infrastructure, social welfare, Agriculture, and youth engagement.

Speaking on behalf of the entire Osun youth constituency, the NYCN Chairman, Comrade Akinbode Olakolupo, described Governor Adeleke as a leader whose emergence has been nothing short of divine. According to him, the Governor has proven to be *“God-sent to the good people of Osun State,”* as reflected in his policies, projects, and inclusive approach to governance. He emphasized that the achievements recorded so far demonstrate the Governor’s unwavering dedication to moving Osun State forward and improving the lives of residents across all communities.

The Council highlighted the Governor’s remarkable infrastructural interventions across the state, noting that the visible road construction and rehabilitation projects have improved mobility and boosted economic and social activities in both rural and urban areas. It observed that the revitalization of health facilities, improvement of educational institutions, and commitment to rural development have collectively raised the standard of living and restored citizens’ confidence in government.

Furthermore, the NYCN praised the Governor for his outstanding support toward youth empowerment and inclusion. The statement emphasized that the Governor has distinguished himself as one of the most youth-friendly leaders Osun has produced. His deliberate appointment of young people into meaningful positions, the implementation of empowerment programs, support for skills development initiatives, and encouragement of digital innovation and entrepreneurship were all recognized as clear evidence of his commitment to preparing youths for leadership and economic opportunity.

The NYCN pointed out that Governor Adeleke’s constant engagement with youth-led organizations through the ministry of youth affairs has strengthened collaboration between the government and young people, ensuring that the voices and aspirations of the youth are reflected in governance. The Council applauded the Governor’s open-door policy and praised him for creating a political environment where youth participation is encouraged and valued.

While commending the Governor for his accomplishments, the Council also urged him to sustain the momentum and continue pushing forward with initiatives that transform the state. Comrade Akinbode noted that the progress so far has laid a strong foundation for a more prosperous Osun, and urged the Governor to “do even more to make Osun a better place,” especially by expanding opportunities that benefit young people and strengthen community development.

As Osun State celebrates this significant milestone, the NYCN reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Governor and pledged to continue working hand-in-hand with the administration to promote peace, good governance, community development, and youth advancement. The Council reiterated that Osun youths stand firmly with the Governor and remain committed partners in the collective effort to build a stronger, more progressive state.
