OSUN NYCN LEVERAGES TECHNOLOGY, TRAINS OVER 100 COORDINATORS ONLINE FOR MASS PVC MOBILIZATION
The Directorate of Democratic and Good Governance of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, has successfully trained over one hundred Local Government PVC Registration Coordinators in an online workshop. This training is a direct response to the state's incredible achievement in the ongoing INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
Recent data confirms that Osun State is leading the entire nation with 393,269 online pre-registrations, making up a massive 28.51% of the national total.
"This is an incredible achievement," said Director Victor Ayomide Adegboye. "But it is only the first step. As NYCN PVC Coordinators, you are now on the front line. Your mission is to build on this momentum and ensure every single eligible young person in our state completes their registration and is ready to vote in the 2026 Governorship Election and the 2027 General Elections." The virtual training equipped coordinators from all 30 Local Government Areas with the tools for grassroots mobilization and to demystify the registration process.
The State Chairman of NYCN, Comr. Segun Olakolupo Akinbode, who joined the webinar, commended the Directorate for its innovative approach. "The commitment of this Directorate to deepening democracy is commendable. By training these 100+ foot soldiers online, we have effectively activated a robust network that will significantly increase our voter registration turnout. This is a direct investment in the democratic destiny of our state. Together, we can ensure that the youth of Osun are not just registered but are ready to actively participate in shaping their destiny."
The coordinators were trained on the INEC online pre-registration steps, strategies for community mobilization and methods for accurate daily reporting. Their task is to convert the state's strong online pre-registration numbers into completed registrations and ultimately, into Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the hands of every eligible youth.
The message from the Directorate is clear: Let's get every single eligible youth in Osun registered!
