The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, under the leadership of its Chairman, Comrade Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, has extended heartfelt greetings to all youths in the state as a new month begins.
In his goodwill message, Comrade Akinbode commended the resilience, courage, and relentless pursuit of purpose displayed by Osun youths, even in the face of daunting challenges. He described August as a memorable month for youths globally and in Osun State in particular, noting that the Council successfully celebrated the 2025 International Youth Day with nine days of impactful programs and charitable initiatives.
He dedicated the success of the celebration to God, his Executives, his team and expressed gratitude to all Voluntary Youth Organizations (VYOs), stakeholders, and partners who contributed to its remarkable outcome.
Looking forward, the Chairman encouraged Osun youths to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise, stressing that the Voter’s Card remains the strongest tool for youths to demand accountability and enthrone good governance.
As part of September’s activities, the Chairman announced that the Media Directorate of NYCN Osun State will, for the next 20 days, roll out 20 Nuggets from the International Youth Day Conference. This initiative, he explained, is to keep alive the lessons, insights, and resolutions from the Conference while reminding youths of their role in driving positive change.
Reassuring the youth constituency, Comrade Akinbode reaffirmed the Council’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, leadership development, and creating opportunities through deliberate programs and initiatives that will build a stronger and better future for Osun youths.
He concluded with a message of unity, hope, and perseverance:
“With dedication, commitment, persistence, perseverance, and hard work, we will succeed. Happy New Month, Osun Youths—the future is bright, and it is ours to claim.”
