The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslim youth across Osun State, congratulating them on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his Eid message, the Chairman described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, discipline, sacrifice, and devotion to Almighty Allah, urging Muslim youth to sustain the virtues imbibed during the fasting period.
He emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan—peace, love, tolerance, patience, humility, and self-restraint—must not end with the celebration of Eid. He admonished young people to remain steadfast in righteousness and avoid returning to acts and behaviors they abstained from during the holy month.
Akinbode further called on Muslim youth to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to promote unity and compassion by extending hands of love and generosity to the less privileged, while fostering peaceful coexistence within their communities.
“As we celebrate, let it not only be a moment of joy but also a commitment to good deeds, service to humanity, and the continuous pursuit of a better society,” he stated.
The NYCN Chairman reaffirmed the vital role of youth in nation-building, encouraging them to channel the spiritual renewal of Ramadan into positive actions that will contribute to the growth, peace, and development of Osun State and Nigeria at large.
He concluded by praying for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in the state and the nation.
