10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY: OSUN YOUTH LEADER CONGRATULATES OONI, DESCRIBES HIS REIGN AS PEACEFUL, DEVELOPMENT-DRIVEN, AND EXEMPLARY

 The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, Comr. Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, on the celebration of his 10th Coronation Anniversary, describing his reign as a decade of peace, cultural revival, and transformational development.
In a statement issued on Sunday 7th, December, Comr. Akinbodewho leads the apex and umbrella body of all youth organizations in Osun State noted that the Ooni, who serves as the Royal Grand Patron of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, has been exceptionally supportive of the youth constituency, especially the Osun State Chapter.
He praised Ooni Ogunwusi’s leadership as one defined by stability, unity, and progress. According to him, Kabiesi’s fatherly role, humility, and unwavering commitment to uplifting young people have made his reign highly impactful and worthy of celebration.

“Kabiesi’s ten years on the throne have brought peace, strengthened our cultural identity, and opened doors of opportunity for countless young people. As our Royal Grand Patron, the Ooni has consistently supported NYCN Osun State, empowering us, guiding us, and standing firmly behind youth development across the state. His visionary leadership and compassionate heart remain a blessing to us all,” Comr. Akinbode said.

He further highlighted the Ooni’s major contributions, including the establishment of Ojaja University to expand access to quality education, the development of Ife Grand Resort which has created numerous youth employment opportunities, and various empowerment programmes through the House of Oduduwa Foundation that have elevated youths, women, widows, and artisans.

Comr. Akinbode also emphasized the Ooni’s role as a unifier and peace ambassador. He noted that Kabiesi has strengthened relationships across Yoruba sub-groups, expanded the global visibility of Yoruba culture through the upgraded Olojo Festival, and transformed Ile-Ife into a modern cultural and tourism destination.

He described His Imperial Majesty as “a father to the youth, a beacon of hope, and a leader whose impact continues to lift the social, cultural, and economic landscape of Osun State and beyond.”

On behalf of the NYCN Osun State Chapter, he offered prayers for Kabiesi:
“As you mark a decade on the sacred throne, we pray for divine wisdom, long life, good health, and greater accomplishments. May your reign continue to bring unity, prosperity, and development to Osun State, Yorubaland, and Nigeria.”

He reaffirmed the commitment of Osun youth to continue supporting Kabiesi’s developmental vision and cultural initiatives.
