OSUN YOUTH COMMENDS OSSIEC FOR CONDUCTING FREE, FAIR, AND CREDIBLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

Osun youth under its umbrella body, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), under the distinguished leadership of Comrade Akinbode Segun Olakolupo, has commended the Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC), led by Barrister Hassim Abioye, for the successful conduct of free, fair, and credible local government elections across Osun State.  
In a press statement issued today, Comrade Olakolupo praised the commission and the Chairman for his commitment to ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process. He highlighted the seamless distribution of election materials, the timely arrival of officials, and the professionalism displayed by electoral staff as key indicators of the election's success.  
We serving as an accredited observer for the election, We have our members strategically positioned across all local government areas in Osun State, and the reports we have received so far are highly encouraging. Election materials were delivered to each local government as scheduled, and the electoral staff were well-trained and equipped to perform their duties diligently. This level of efficiency and transparency is commendable and sets a new standard for local government elections in our state, Comrade Olakolupo stated.  
The NYCN Chairman also lauded the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Asiwaju Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, for his unwavering support and steadfastness in ensuring the success of the elections. He noted that despite efforts by opposition elements to undermine the process, Governor Adeleke remained resolute in his commitment to upholding democratic principles and ensuring the will of the people prevailed.  

Governor Adeleke's leadership during this electoral process has been exemplary. His determination to ensure a free and fair election, even in the face of opposition attempts to disrupt the process, is a testament to his dedication to democracy and good governance. We commend him for standing firm and prioritizing the interests of the people of Osun State, Comrade Olakolupo added.  

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, also called on all stakeholders, including political parties, candidates, and the electorate, to accept the outcome of the elections in good faith and work together to foster peace, unity, and development across the state.  

The Council reaffirmed its commitment to promoting youth participation in governance and ensuring that the voices of young people are heard in all spheres of decision-making. Comrade Olakolupo urged the newly elected local government officials to prioritize youth empowerment and inclusive development in their respective constituencies.  

The NYCN Osun State Chapter expressed its gratitude to all stakeholders, including security agencies, civil society organizations, and the media, for their roles in ensuring a peaceful and successful electoral process.
