Comr. Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, convened with his counterparts from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, and Ondo States, alongside the Vice President of NYCN South West, in Lagos to discuss and strategize on collaborative approaches to youth development across state of the region. The meeting, held immediately following the successful Lagos Youth Symposium organized by the Lagos State chapter of NYCN, provided a pivotal platform for regional leaders to align their visions and initiatives for the betterment of young people in the South West.
The discussions centered on identifying common challenges faced by youth in the various states, exploring avenues for inter-state cooperation, and formulating unified strategies to address pressing issues such as unemployment, access to quality education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. The chairmen emphasized the importance of fostering a cohesive regional approach to youth empowerment, recognizing that collaborative efforts would amplify their collective impact and ensure sustainable development for young people across the South West.
Olakolupo Oluwasegun highlighted the critical need for regional synergy in leveraging resources, sharing best practices, and advocating for policies that prioritize youth development.
