The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, extends warm felicitations to the Christian faithful across the state and Nigeria as they commemorate Palm Sunday, marking the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
In a statement released by the NYCN Osun State chapter Chairman, Comrade Akinbode Segun Olakolupo, the council acknowledged the significance of Palm Sunday as a time for reflection, faith, and renewed hope. He urged Christian youths and all believers to embrace the virtues of humility, peace, and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate Palm Sunday, we recognize the importance of unity, love, and tolerance among all religious denominations in Osun State and Nigeria at large. This season serves as a reminder of the power of faith and collective goodwill in fostering national harmony, the statement read.
The NYCN Osun Chapter also called on Christian youths to actively participate in activities that promote societal development while upholding the values of their faith. The council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting interfaith initiatives that strengthen peaceful coexistence among all citizens.
The statement concluded with prayers for a blessed Holy Week and Easter celebration, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in hope despite prevailing challenges.
