The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun, has joined family, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate a distinguished leader and mentor, Barr. Dosu Babatunde, Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a heartfelt message released on Thursday, the NYCN Chairman who hails from the same ward, Oke Bode, as the celebrant described Barr. Dosu Babatunde as “a father, a mentor, and a dependable pillar whose leadership continues to inspire countless young people across Osun State.”
According to him, Barr. Babatunde’s unwavering support, fatherly guidance, and exceptional commitment to community development have made him a beacon of hope, especially to the youth. He noted that the Commissioner’s humility, wisdom, and open-door policy have strengthened youth engagements and encouraged impactful initiatives across the state.
“Sir, your consistent support has not only uplifted me personally but has also empowered the entire youth constituency in Osun State. You have demonstrated remarkable leadership rooted in compassion, integrity, and genuine concern for the well-being of others. We are truly blessed to have you,” the statement reads.
The NYCN Chairman offered special prayers for the celebrant, asking God to grant him renewed strength, grace, long life, and continued success in all his endeavours.
“As you celebrate another year of God’s faithfulness, may the Almighty continue to honour you, enlarge your coast, and surround you with peace and favour. Your legacy of service will be remembered for generations,”he added.
