OSUN NYCN CHAIRMAN SUPPORTS EDUCATION: DONATES 200 NOTEBOOKS TO OBOKUN STUDENTS' UNION FOR FREE SUMMER LESSON

In a continued demonstration of his commitment to youth development and academic empowerment, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, Comrade Olakolupo Oluwasegun Akinbode, has supported the Obokun Students' Union (OBSU) with the donation of 200 notebooks for their forthcoming Free Summer Lesson program.
The donation was officially presented today, August 2nd, 2025, at the Osun NYCN Youth House, Testing Ground, Osogbo, as the NYCN Chairman warmly received the President of the Obokun Students' Union, Comrade Awosina Kehinde Johnson (DokTur Awo), in a symbolic gesture that underscores NYCN’s commitment to grassroots education support.

Speaking at the brief presentation, Comrade Akinbode emphasized the critical need for community-driven educational initiatives, noting that "education remains a solid pillar for youth development, and every effort aimed at enriching the academic experience of students deserves our full support."

The OBSU Free Summer Lesson, which kicks off on Monday, August 5, 2025, and runs through Saturday, September 7, 2025, will take place simultaneously at Imesi-ile High School and Ibokun Grammar School, targeting secondary school students across Obokun local government.

The donation, according to the NYCN Chairman, is more than just a gift of materials. "It is a call to action for student leaders and youth stakeholders to invest in education, support one another, and build a future of excellence," he added.

Comrade Akinbode also commended the leadership of OBSU for their vision and consistency in organizing impactful programs that directly benefit students at the grassroots level.

The NYCN Osun State Chapter remains resolute in fostering partnerships and initiatives that uplift young people, promote education, and strengthen community engagement.
