NYCN, Osun State Chapter led by its leadership Comrade. Akinbode Olakolupo Oluwasegun and his team paid a courtesy visit to CP Mohammed Umar Abba

in his office on March 11th, 2025.

NYCN, Osun State Chapter used the avenue to thank the force for providing adequate security and ensuring safety during the just concluded NYCN state congress, as well as for maintaining peace during the recently concluded LG election across the state. The visit also allowed the new NYCN executive members to familiarize themselves with the state police force. Noting some NYCN members are paramilitary officers who contribute to maintaining peace.

The NYCN used the opportunity to encourage the CP to continue prioritizing security and safety within Osun State, highlighting areas where security challenges had been encountered recently.

In his response; the CP thanked and congratulated the newly elected NYCN executive members, offering them words of encouragement. He spoke about security challenges and how the force has tackled them, citing an examples of the rusticated student of  Federal Polytechnic Ede whom the NPF assured that he was reabsorbed into the learning institution. He assured the NYCN Osun SEC that his door is always open to them for dialogue and encouragement.

The NYCN chairman thanked him in return and assured him of their willingness to collaborate with the force in ensuring a peaceful environment.
