OSUN YOUTH APPLAUD AND COMMEND GOV. ADEMOLA ADELEKE FOR THE FLAG-OFF OF OSOGBO CITY STADIUM REMODELLING

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, has applauded the Executive Governor of Osun State, *His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke,* for officially flagging off the remodeling of the Osogbo City Stadium to meet national standards. This significant project is expected to reposition Osun as a leading hub for sports development in Nigeria.  

Speaking on bebalf of the youth of the state through the PRO comr. Hassan Rafiu Olayemi, the Chairman of NYCN, Osun State Chapter, *Comrade Akinbode Olakolupo Segun,* commended the governor for his visionary leadership and commitment to youth and sports development He described the project as a game-changer that will not only provide world-class sporting facilities but also create opportunities for young talents to thrive in various sporting disciplines.  

Comr. Akinbode expressed deep appreciation for the Governor’s developmental strides, particularly in infrastructure. He noted that Governor Adeleke’s first-term achievements are evident across all parts of Osun State, with numerous completed projects positively impacting the socio-economic well-being of the people. The remodelling of the Osogbo City Stadium, he emphasized, will further elevate the state’s status in the sports industry.  

“With this stadium upgrade, our youth will now have a befitting platform to showcase their talents in football and other athletic events. This will also enhance the competitiveness of Osun’s football teams in the national league and on the international stage. The Governor’s intervention in sports will undoubtedly revive Osun’s glory in Nigerian and global sports,” the NYCN Chairman stated.  

He further highlighted that the completion of the stadium will not only boost sports activities but also contribute significantly to the state’s economy. The project will attract investors, sports enthusiasts, and business opportunities, thereby generating employment and reviving Osun’s rich sporting history. He lauded the Governor’s foresight in ensuring that the stadium is equipped with modern facilities that meet international standards.  

He also extended appreciation to the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, the Deputy Speaker, the Commissioner for Youth, and other key stakeholders who accompanied the governor the flag-off event. He assured the youth of Osun that the NYCN will continue to support initiatives that foster development, empowerment, and excellence in all sectors.  

The youth of Osun State remain grateful to Governor Adeleke for his unwavering support for sports and youth empowerment, reaffirming their commitment to working with his administration for the progress of the state.
